Synopsis

Following his battle with Charybdis Aquaman searches for clues to find his way back to Atlantis now that he lacks his telepathy, stumbling across many United States military weapons on the ocean floor. He then finds Black Manta's sub near the bombs he's found. He then breaks into the sub which is filled with water and the crew murdered he then finds what he believes to be Manta dead only to find a note saying impostors will die. Aquaman then follows a group of fish carrying seaweed who pass it off to crabs onshore where he runs into Porm's killer Demon Gate who reveals he's been killing the animals who delivered his food, this causes Aquaman to decide to break the deal which he can no longer do without his telepathy so he returns to Manta's ship for his helmet so he can breathe underwater. He is then attacked by Demon Gate who has linked with the helmet's weapons and summons Black Manta's ship. He then attacks Aquaman with the ship's weapons, but himself is attacked by Black Manta who cuts the helmets oxygen hose filling it with water as demon gate then drains the sub of water. However the ship is destroyed by Aquaman throwing the crate of bombs destroying the ship. Aquaman is then forced to let Black Manta go to save Demon Gate bringing him to a new island with more food and releasing the fish from their duty of caring for him.
